Vernon · North Okanagan · The Reveal: October 2026

Two seats.
One direction.

Tandem is a new kind of dental studio — where every decision about your mouth is made side by side, in plain English, at your pace. You steer. We pedal.

The Idea

Every dental office says it listens. Then it lays you flat, puts a light in your eyes, and talks at you with two hands in your mouth. We built Tandem the other way up. You sit up. We sit beside you. The screen sits between us. You ask anything. You decide what happens, and when. In tandem.

i.

The second seat

Every visit starts with you sitting up, beside your dentist, at eye level — not under a light. Two chairs, one screen, no lecture.

ii.

Plain English

Your treatment plan arrives translated — what it is, why it matters, what it costs — in words, not billing codes. You'll never leave wondering what you agreed to.

iii.

Your pace

This year, next year, one step at a time. You set the tempo and the budget; we build the route. "Not yet" is a complete answer here.

The Studio

A studio,
not a clinic.

A clinic is where things are done to you. A studio is where things are made with you. Ours is being built now in Vernon — warm stone walls, walnut, brass, morning light, and not one fluorescent tube. It will feel less like an appointment and more like a good conversation that happens to fix your teeth.

Follow the build-out — Studio Notes, weekly, on our channels.

The Doctors

Two front seats.
You already know one of them.

Dr.

Mark Wasylyk

The dentist Vernon has trusted for years isn't going anywhere — he keeps practicing right here, in the studio his practice becomes. Same hands, same judgment, new second seat beside you.

Portrait arrives with the reveal.

Dr. Michael Webster Dr.

Michael Webster

An Okanagan practice owner from down the lake in Kelowna, joining Dr. Wasylyk in tandem — and bringing the philosophy this studio is built on: nothing about your mouth without you.

The proper introduction arrives with the reveal — both of us, on a tandem, naturally.

What we make together

i.

Checkups & hygiene

The unglamorous work that keeps everything else optional. Booked at your rhythm, explained as we go.

ii.

Fixing & restoring

Fillings, crowns, root canals — the craft of keeping your own teeth yours, with every option and price on the screen between us first.

iii.

Cosmetic work

You define what beautiful means. We bring the craft. No trends pushed, no packages sold — a plan built around your face and your call.

iv.

Implants & bigger builds

The long rides. Staged clearly, sequenced around your life and budget, with one person guiding the whole route.

v.

Kids

Front-seat sized. First visits that are mostly questions and zero fear, so the next thirty years of dentistry start on the right foot.

Straight Answers

The things you'd actually like to ask.

I haven't seen a dentist in years. How bad is the first visit?

It's a conversation. You sit up, we look together, and you decide what happens next — which can be nothing, for now. Nobody here does guilt. This is a lecture-free building; that's the founding rule.

Will I know what it costs before anything happens?

Always. Your plan arrives translated into plain English with every fee on it, before you commit to a thing. If the numbers change, the plan comes back to the screen between us before we continue. No surprises isn't a courtesy here — it's policy.

Do you bill my insurance directly?

Where your plan allows it, yes — we submit directly and you cover only your portion. Bring your card to the first visit and we'll handle the fine print together, before treatment, not after.

I'm nervous. Genuinely.

Then you're exactly who we built this for. You set the pace. You can pause anything with a raised hand. And nothing ever happens in the chair that we haven't decided together first, sitting up, at eye level. The chair is where the work happens — never where the decisions do.

Can my kids come?

Front-seat sized. First visits are mostly questions and a ride in the chair, zero fear — so their next thirty years of dentistry start on the right foot.

Who's behind Tandem?

Two dentists, two front seats. Dr. Mark Wasylyk — the dentist Vernon has trusted for years — continues practicing right here, in the studio his practice becomes. Riding with him: Dr. Michael Webster, an Okanagan practice owner from down the lake in Kelowna. Same hands you know, plus a whole new way of working.

When can I actually book?

The practice is seeing patients right now — it's Dr. Wasylyk's, and care continues uninterrupted through the transition. The full Tandem experience, second seat and all, arrives with the reveal in October 2026. Founding Riders — the first two hundred on the list — get first pick of the new calendar. Your seat is one form away, just below.

The Ride

Vernon, let's ride.

We're named for the most honest machine ever built — the tandem only moves when both people are in it together. Fitting, for a town at the head of the Okanagan Rail Trail. When we open, we ride: a tandem-bike Saturday down the Kalamalka shore with our neighbours, our team, and anyone who wants the second seat.

Founding Riders

The first two hundred.

The practice Vernon knows is becoming Tandem — care continues today, and the full studio reveals in October 2026. The first two hundred on this list become Founding Riders: first pick of the new calendar, first look at the studio, and a founding perk we'll announce with the reveal. Leave your name; we'll save your seat.

One email at the reveal, one when Founding Rider details are announced. Nothing else, unsubscribe anytime — that's a promise (and the law, and we like the law).
